Submissions

We will be open for submissions three times a year during month-long submission windows: April for the Summer issue, August for the Winter issue, and December for the following year’s Spring issue.

Issue One of And Other Poems will be published online in July. Submissions have now closed, but we will be open again in August. Any poems sent outside the submission window will not be read. 

Please send up to three poems in a single Word document to editor.andotherpoems@gmail.com with the subject line SUBMISSION. Please also include a short biographical note, including any prior publications (if relevant). 

Poems must be previously unpublished, online or in print.

We welcome simultaneous submissions – poems submitted for consideration at other magazines at the same time – but please let us know if your poems are accepted elsewhere and we will withdraw them from consideration. 

All forms, themes and styles are welcome. For longer poems and sequences, please limit yourself to four A4 pages with 12 point font.

Submissions are free, but please only submit once during each window. We welcome work from both new and established writers, and especially encourage submissions from writers yet to publish a first collection.

We aim to respond to all submissions within eight weeks of the end of the submission period. If you haven’t heard from us after this, please feel free to drop us a line.

Because we are a small team, we are unable to offer individual feedback on poems.

We do not accept postal submissions.
