We open for poetry submissions three times a year during month-long submission windows: January for the Spring issue, May for the Summer issue, September for the Winter issue.
Poetry submissions are now closed. We will open again in January.
Poetry submission guidelines
Send up to four poems in a single document using this form. Please also include a short biographical note with any prior publications (if relevant).
Poems must be previously unpublished, online or in print. Please only submit once during each window.
We welcome simultaneous submissions, but please let us know as soon as possible via email (editor.andotherpoems@gmail.com) if your poems are accepted elsewhere and we will withdraw them from consideration.
Please note that we now ask for a £2 fee per submission of up to four poems. This is to pay our editors and develop the magazine going forward. Submission fees are waived for anyone who is unemployed, on low income, or in receipt of benefits including Universal Credit, JSA, ESA, PIP and so on. No proof will be required.
All forms, themes and styles are welcome. For longer poems and sequences, please limit yourself to four A4 pages with 12 point font.
We welcome work from both new and established writers. We aim to respond to all submissions within two months of the end of the submission period. If you haven’t heard from us after ten weeks, please feel free to drop us a line.
Prose submissions
We are open year-round for submissions of prose about or loosely related to poetry. Take a look at our prose submission guidelines here.
