Mymona Bibi
when hands were smaller
they fit في جيبك
they would seek
joy and knowledge في جيبك
fingers spread out
grasping dust في جيبك
disappointment, shame
and frowns bruised wrists في جيبك
screams, cries and howls
filled the space في جيبك
when those hands grew
they feared themselves في جيبك
they ran, legs aching
from the weight في جيبك
and returned at night to
check if it was safe في جيبك
when fists were balled they decided
to spill all that was في جيبك
then I smiled at the light
I found في جيبي
