Paul, who is carrying a ladder and on his way to fix something

            Clíodhna Bhreatnach

So     you’re leaving us    I’m going to miss
your smiley face in the corridor      it’s been
a pleasure         So what is it
you write your poetry about    tell us
            your inspiration       Oh    beautiful
                       subject        Time    which isn’t linear
it’s circular    I believe that     It comes
back to us       Like music      We’ve
been alive before and we’ll live
again      Just when you think it’s all over
            then you’re really beginning
Years ago I would have loved to run
a record shop      I know probably every
band you could think of       That
was my dream       I love to surround
myself with things     The worst thing that
ever happened to me in school was
one day   I was staring out a window
and a teacher yelled  Halpin     Come here
            because you know daydreaming
is the most important work    and there
I was creating things in my head    and if
I didn’t have dreams in my head
I wouldn’t be able to use my hands
and vice versa      The beauty of the brain
is that it has a left side    a right side
                       creative and logical     engage both
and that’s when a person’s aura will really
glow       Look      How the hairs on my arm
stand up like this         Everyone’s got a frequency
tuned into good or bad     and we vibrate
accordingly      I had to teach myself
to be scared of nothing         I could talk forever
and do you know something
Clíodhna     I wish you the best of luck
with your writing     I really do
